New Committee Positions Available
As the burden from COVID has been starting to ease locally, STAR are starting to return to some of our normal work.
As such, we are delighted to now be recruiting for FOUR brilliant opportunities to join the STAR executive committee. If you are interested, please send your CV and a short paragraph about yourself and why you would be suited to the role to stargroupresearch@gmail.com by the 31st May 2020. All anaesthesia or ICM trainees are eligible to apply, with previous involvement in research being desirable.

All positions are core committee, and so applicants will be expected to contribute to the day to day running of STAR and engage with committee meetings in addition to their specific roles.
STAR Chair
* Lead the STAR committee and organisation
* Oversee all STAR work streams and projects
* Chair STAR meetings
* Represent STAR regionally and nationally
* Attend RAFT national meetings
* Previous research and leadership experience strongly encouraged
ICM Vice Chair
* Represent STAR when the chair is unavailable
* Oversee engagement of ICM trainees in the organisation
* Contribute ICM focussed ideas and developments
* Work closely with the Chair and Anaesthesia Vice Chair in steering the organisations activity
Treasurer
* Manage STAR bank account
* Process STAR invoices and expenses
* Manage STAR funding streams
Local lead liaison
* Manage local lead communications and updates
* Create and update promotional materials for local lead
* Organise local lead changeover and appointment
IT & Social media lead
- Core committee member
- Manage and maintain STAR website
- Oversee and direct STAR social media accounts
